A Strong Start: 2008 NAC Benefit Reception On June 11, 2008, the National Asthma Campaign (NAC) hosted a kickoff benefit reception honoring Brett Ratner and Dr. Gary S. Rachelefsky at a private home in Los Angeles, California. Both Mr. Ratner and Dr. Rachelefsky were recognized for their commitment to changing the face of asthma. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our Sponsors, this celebratory evening was a great success. The funds received are being used for public, patient, and clinician education about asthma. These inaugural programs have enabled NAC to begin carrying out its mission to empower patients with asthma and their caregivers by providing them with the tools and education necessary to achieve a better quality of life. NAC intends to continue to accomplish these goals through outreach and advocacy programs nationwide.
